Presenting to you DORI – Vinati’s newest collection of poems.

Vinati’s second book DORI which is now released worldwide draws an analogy between different stages of emotions with the process of thread-making. The word DORI in Hindi means ‘thread’ or ‘string’ and the poems in the book are divided into three chapters: Cleaning, Combing and Spinning. Each chapter supports the basic premise of DORI that we are all stitched with the same thread of the same fabric despite being hyphenated by many differences.

“you have had a long

you have
too many stories,

sung too many ballads,
written too many poems

to find the one
that begins with a soft thud,

kicks you in the gut
and brings you
back to life.

how does
that make you feel?”
