Udaari is an unbridled downpour of love, madness, chaos and calm that gradually sweeps in at the end. It revolves around the theme of self-love and how empowering it is to let ourselves grow even if it means breaking into shards and picking up the pieces to heal with more mettle.

Coming from a Punjabi background, Vinati chose the title of her first collection of poems as a tribute to her maternal grandmother who was also a poet. The word ‘Udaari’ in Punjabi means to fly, to spread the wings and take a leap, a quiet soar against the wind.
